Davis, Calif. -

The Tigers played tough against the UC Davis Aggies in their Big West Conference opener in Davis, Calif., but came up short with a final score of 5-2.  After having lost the doubles point to the Aggies, the Tigers started off strong in the singles competition but couldn't hold onto the lead they had earned. 

Some notable victories from the match included Jenifer Widjaja and partner Julia Hansen's doubles match.  They confidently defeated their opponents Heneghan and Chui 8-2.  Jenifer Widjaja also did well in the sinlges competition was she crushed her opponent Megan Heneghan 6-1, 6-1.  Julia Hansen fought her way through the match and defeated Dahra Zamudio, in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
