Stockton, Calif. - After pristine conditions opened the 2011 Stockton Convention & Visitors Bureau Pacific Invitational sponsored by Ron Berberian in day one, golfers were thrown for a loop on day two as winds kicked up to wreak havoc on scores on Tuesday, November 1.  For Pacific, the Tigers suffered a setback in their title defense as they were pushed back into a tie for seventh overall at +16 after posting a +19, 303 on the second day.  The Tigers and the rest of the field will attempt to chase down Colorado State which own the two day lead at +5 after tallying the top round of day two at +9, 293.

Individually the Tigers, as well as the rest of the 60-man field, struggled with the conditions on the course throughout the day as each Pacific player came into the clubhouse over par for their round.  Despite shooting a +3, 74 in his second trip through the course, junior Alex Edfort kept himself in title contention as he trails the overall leader by just four strokes heading into final round action.

As conditions on the course look to stabalize on the final day, Edfort will look to catch Nevada's Kevin Lucas who posted a two-day total of -5 to take a one shot lead on the field.  Two other golfers sit at -4 while one posted a -3 and three others, including Edfort, sit at -1.  Through 36 holes just nine golfers have posted scores of par or better.

The Tigers will be one of the first teams on the course on Wednesday, November 2, as Pacific team's off at 8:00 am from the 10th tee as third day action commences.  Tee-times begin at 8:00 from holes one and 10 with groups of three hitting the course every 10 minutes. For live results go to www.
