Stockton, California -
Pacific sophomore Patrick Kucich will participate in two Canadian Tour events during the next two weeks, the Spring International and the Stockton Sports Commission Classic. The Northern California professional tour events play back-to-back weekends at Del Rio Country Club and Brookside Country Club.
First up for Kucich is the Spring International at Del Rio Country on April 7th in Modesto. He earned an exemption into the tournament by shooting a 71 at the qualifier this past weekend at Del Rio. Last year the tournament was won by Australian Adam Bland.
"I'm excited to get some experience against professionals," said Kucich. "It will certainly help me collegiately next season."
On April 14th Kucich will play in the Stockton Sports Commission Classic at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, California. The Classic, formally the Northern California Classic is presented by the City of Stockton. Kucich earned his exemption by winning the Brookside Club Championship.
"I know both courses very well and I'm looking forward to seeing how I perform against some of the best players on the Canadian Tour," said Kucich.
Kucich, a redshirt sophomore for the Tigers this year, played in eight tournaments last year. He finished the season with a 77.2 stroke average during his freshman year and had a low round of 71 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate last April.
