Reno, Nevada - The Pacific women's tennis team suffered a tough 4-3 loss to Nevada in an indoor match at the Lake Ridge Tennis Club on Mar. 30 in Reno, Nevada. With the loss, the Tigers fell to an overall 4-10 record, while the Wolf Pack victory lifted them to 7-7 on the season.

The Nevada Wolf Pack started the day of competition by sweeping doubles play and earning the doubles team point.

Nevada captured individual victories at the number two, one and four positions to start singles play and had secured the match with a victory at the number four position when freshman Olga Gumenyuk (Kiev, Ukraine) was defeated by Florence De Vrye 6-3, 6-4.

The Tigers did get their offensive going and ultimately went on to capture the final three matches earning individual points at the number three, five and six positions. Freshman Kateryna Nezhura (Kiev, Ukraine) at the number three position and junior Clara Schuhmacher (Zaragoza, Spain) at the number five position both took their bouts to match tie breaks and came out victorious earning two of the three Tiger points. Pacific earned their final point of the match when sophomore Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda) was triumphant in her matchup with Ly-Huong at the number six position.

The Tigers return to their home Hal Nelson Tennis Courts to host the Cal State Fullerton Titans Saturday April 5. Match is at 1:00p.m.
