Tigers Earn Split In Double Dual Meet Against Cal Poly and UC Davis

Davis, Calif. - The Pacific men's swimming team earned a split at the double dual meet with UC Davis and Cal Poly on Saturday, Jan. 19. The Tigers defeated Cal Poly, 160.5-127.5, but fell to UC Davis, 168-121.

Following Saturday's action the Tigers are 1-3 in dual meets this season and 1-1 in Big West Conference dual meets.

Pacific nabbed event victories in five of the 14 events that the Tigers participated in, led by three individual from senior Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland). Zoldak collected the Tigers first event in the 200 Freestyle as edged out UC Davis' Nik Kemp with a time of 1":41.26. Zoldak also won the 100 Free and the 200 IM.

Fellow senior Wokciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland) also performed well on Saturday with a win in the 200 Backstroke in 1:51.11 and a second place finish in the 200 IM.

The Tigers are next in action in their final dual meet of the season as Pacific faces UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 2 in Chris Kjeldsen Pool at 12 p.m.
