Fullerton, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team got back on track with a 5-2 win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday, February 25.

The win lifted the Tigers to 4-3 on the season and 1-1 in the Big West Conference action while the Titans dropped to 0-11 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

Pacific grabbed an early lead in the match with a 2-1 win in doubles play. The Tigers continued to push ahead as singles matches finished when junior Helen Schneider (Dernback, Germany) and freshman Sasha Fisher (Sathampton, Bermuda) earned straight set victories at eh No. 4 and No. 5 positions respectively.

Leading 3-0 in the match, sophomore Carla Tamborini (Arcadia, Calif.) clinched the match victory for the Tigers as she defeated Cal State Fullerton's Jerusha Cruz, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

Pacific went on to claim the No. 3 singles position as well, en route to the 5-2 win.

The Tigers get back on the court on Sunday, Mar. 4 as Pacific hosts Nevada at 10 a.m. in the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
