Pacific Falls Flat Against UC Davis, 67-39

Davis, Calif. - The Pacific women's basketball team suffered through one of their poorest shooting nights of the season as the Tigers fell to UC Davis, 67-39, on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The loss dropped Pacific to 8-18 on the season, while UC Davis moved to 10-14 overall.

Trailing 19-18 with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half, the Tigers were held without a field goal the remainder of the half as the Aggies extended their lead to 29-19 at the half.

Pacific was just 6-for-25 (24 %) from the field in the first half. The largest struggles for the Tigers came from behind the arc 1-for-9 (11 %) and from the free throw line 6-for-11 (54 %).

The Tigers picked up their shooting in the second half, but unfortunately for Pacific, so did UC Davis. The Aggies shot 50 % from the field, including 42 % from behind the arc in the second half as UC Davis pushed its lead to as much as 33 points at 65-32 with 1:59 remaining in the game.

Sophomore Whitney Price (Las Vegas, Nev.) led the Tigers with 10 points in the contest.

UC Davis had three players finish in double figures, led by a game-high 15 points from Haylee Donaghe.

Pacific has nine days until they return to the court as the Tigers begin a three-game home stand against Cal State Northridge on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
