 Stockton, Calif. -  Led by 16 points and 11 rebounds from junior Anthony Brown (Sacramento, Calif.), the Pacific men's basketball team downed Lewis & Clark College, 92-47, on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The victory lifted Pacific to 3-1 on the season, while Lewis & Clark College fell to 1-1 overall.
Pacific trailed by as many as eight points in the first half (31-23), but ended the first 20 minutes with a 14-2 run to take a 37-33 lead at halftime.  From the 4:31 mark of the first half, when the Pioneers led by eight, Pacific outscored Lewis & Clark College 61-16 the rest of the way.
The Tigers extended the lead to nine in first two and half minutes of the second half, as junior Chad Troyer (Seattle, Wash.) scored nine of his 11 points to stake the Tigers to a 46-37 lead with 17:06 remaining. Over the final 14 minutes of the game, the Tigers outscored Lewis & Clark College 40-7. The 45-point victory ties for the seventh largest win in school history, and the biggest since the Tigers defeated Savannah State 82-37 on Nov. 21, 2005.
After hitting seven three-pointers in the first half, the Pioneers missed their first 12 attempts of the second half and finished 9-of-32. The Tigers hit 11-of-23 trey attempts, and had seven different players hit a three-pointer.
Joining Brown in double figures were Troyer and junior Steffan Johnson (Kent, Wash.), who had 14 points. Pacific held a 42-22 advantage on the boards, led by Brown's 11. Brown's double-double was his first of the season and 11th of his career.
The Tigers return to the court on Wednesday, Nov. 21 as the Tigers host local rival Sacramento State at 7 p.m. in the Alex G. Spanos Center.
