Tigers Sweep Past Aggies to Finish 2-1 at UNLV Spring Invitational

Las Vegas, Nev. - The Pacific women's tennis team closed out the UNLV Spring Invitational with a 7-0 victory against New Mexico State on Sunday, January 28th. With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-1 on the spring season.

The Tigers swept the singles matches in straight sets against the Aggies, led by sophomore Jolanta Twarowska's (Hamburg, Germany) 6-1, 6-2 ousting of Nicole Fintell. Senior Vana Mrazovic (Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro) defeated Zeljka Juricek 7-6, 6-4 to post a 2-1 record for the weekend at No. 1 singles, while collecting a perfect 3-0 record at No. 2 doubles with partner, freshman Svenja Arens (Bensburg, Germany).

The Tigers are next in action as they travel to Moraga, Calif. to take on Saint Mary's on Saturday, February 3rd.
