Tigers slip past UC Riverside, 4-3

Riverside, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team defeated UC Riverside, 4-3, on Sunday, Mar. 5.

With the win, the Tigers moved to 9-4 on the season and 1-1 in Big West Conference play, while the Highlanders fell to 3-8 overall and 0-2 in conference.

Senior Natalia Kostenko (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) led the Tigers as she collected a 6-4, 7-5 win over 1. Casey Cross at the top singles spot and teamed with freshman Carla Tamborini (Arcadia, Calif.) to defeat UC Riverside's Cross and Erynne Oki, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles.

Pacific will return to the courts on Saturday, Mar. 11 as the Tigers host Cal State Fullerton at 1 p.m. in Stockton, Calif.
