SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers women's soccer team lost a hard fought 1-0 contest to San Diego State on Friday, Sept. 23. The loss dropped the Tigers to 5-3-1 on the season, while the Aztecs moved to 6-4 overall.
The Tigers controlled the ball for much of the first half as Pacific outshot the Aztecs four-to-two in the first 45 minutes. The tide, however, turned in the second half as San Diego State took advantage of their home field to score the lone goal of the game with 11:30 remaining in the game. The goal came on a broken play on a corner kick.
San Diego State finished the game with 10 shots to just seven for the Tigers.
Pacific will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 25 as the Tigers take on University of San Diego at 1 p.m.
