Katie Hoekman enters her third year at Pacific with both the indoor and beach programs after joining the program as an assistant coach in March of 2019. Hoekman serves as an assistant for both the Tigers' indoor and beach volleyball teams. She arrived at Pacific after serving as an assistant with the Tarleton State's beach and indoor volleyball programs.

At Tarleton State, Hoekman helped the Texans' indoor program to an NCAA Elite Eight finish in 2018 at 32-8 after capturing the program's first regional title. Prior to Tarleton State, Hoekman served as a graduate assistant for the TCU beach and indoor volleyball teams.

Hoekman played for the University of San Diego from 2010-2013. The middle blocker helped the Toreros to three WCC Championships and four NCAA postseason appearances. She was a three-time First Team All-WCC selection and received AVCA Pacific Regional honors as a junior in 2012. In addition, she earned the USD Coaches Award and was named team MVP during her time with the Toreros.

She continues to hold a place in the USD record books, ranking third with a career hitting percentage of .365 and among the top 10 in the career record books for total blocks (365), block assists (297) and solo blocks (68). 

Hoekman graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in history in 2014. She went on to receive her master's degree in liberal arts from TCU.Â
