Wes Yourth

Entering his 17th year with Pacific Athletics in 2023-24, Wes Yourth currently serves as the Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Operating Officer.

In this role, Yourth is responsible for the day-to-day operations for the Division of Athletics while also assisting the Director of Athletics with strategic planning, facility planning, personnel and policy development.  Additionally, Yourth serves as the sport supervisor for baseball, men's soccer, men's water polo, and women's water polo while also overseeing the areas of the athletics business, athletic facilities + events, sports medicine and athlete performance.

Since coming to Pacific, Yourth has served the athletics program in many capacities and most recently as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Internal Operations.  He began his tenure at Pacific as Director of Baseball Operations in 2007.  In 2010, Yourth transitioned into overseeing athletic facilities and event operations. Over time, he has seen his responsibilities within the department grow to include the development of the Athletics District Master Plan, helping the transition into the West Coast Conference (WCC), developing and implementing a multi-year athletic budgeting plan, as well as serving as Interim Director of Athletics during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Since 2014, Yourth has managed over $10 million in facility renovations, including upgrades to the Pacific Intercollegiate Athletic Center, Klein Family Field (baseball), Bill Simoni Field (softball), Knoles Field (soccer), Pacific Aquatics Center/Chris Kjeldsen Pool and the Alex G. Spanos Center (basketball, volleyball).  Furthermore, Yourth has also spearheaded major new construction projects including the development of the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, Zuckerman Field, Raney Sand Volleyball Courts, Janssen-Lagorio Performance Center and the Walter Chang Golf and Learning Center.

Active in his community, Yourth also currently serves as Vice President of the board for Visit Stockton and is the President of the Stockton Sports Foundation board. Notably, he also serves on the WCC Basketball Cabinet, Golden Coast Conference Executive Committee and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Administrative Committee. He was recently appointed to the NCAA Men's Water Polo Committee, charged with administering the national championship. 

Yourth graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and obtained a master's degree from the United States Sports Academy in sport administration/sport coaching.

Yourth and his wife, Aleta, have two children, Cora and Colby, and reside in Lodi, Calif.
