University of the Pacific

Samuel Tarver joined the University Athletics and Development teams Director of Athletics Development in Nov. 2025.

Tarver arrived at Pacific from the University of Nevada, where he served as Assistant Director of Development, Donor Relations in athletics in 2024-25. Prior to his time at Nevada, Tarver held several positions on the men’s basketball coaching staffs at the University of Texas at Arlington, Wake Forest University, and the University of Tennessee.

He is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee and his master’s degree from UT Arlington
