Michael Gutnick joined the Pacific staff as Communications Assistant in September 2023 and was elevated to Coordinator of Athletics Communications in July 2024.
In 2022, Gutnick was an assistant athletics communications director at UC Davis, working with the women's volleyball and men's water polo teams. He wrote feature stories on the student-athletes at UC Davis, which was welcomed by the athletics department. He also maintained record books, schedules and game-day social media posts.
Prior to UC Davis, Gutnick covered the Arizona Coyotes, among other sports, for Arizona PBS, producing digital and broadcast content, interviewing players, coaches and staff, and reporting on breaking news coverage.
Gutnick earned his bachelor’s degree in sports journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in 2021.
