Brandon Shaw became the University of the Pacific's inaugural STUNT head coach in July 2026.
Shaw is no stranger to the Tigers' community, helping lead the spirit and dance squads last year throughout the women's volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball seasons.
Shaw is a Worlds-level cheer athlete, accomplished choreographer, and respected coach, who has built a strong reputation throughout the cheerleading industry at the local, national, and international levels, including in South Africa, Canada and Mexico. Shaw assisted in choreographing Team South Africa's World Championship routine and worked with Vancouver All Stars, one of the country's premier programs.
As a volunteer assistant cheer coach at Pacific, Shaw coached the sideline cheerleading team, supporting practices and game day preparation. He instructed athletes in stunting, sideline cheers, and overall game day performance, providing a supportive atmosphere to the athletic events.
Prior to working with Pacific last season, Shaw has served as a JAMZ Director since 2012, playing a key role in the growth and success of one of the nation's premier cheerleading organizations. Shaw has also been a part of the California All Stars as a coach, choreographer and a six-time athlete.
