Biography

2017 (Junior):
Started all 19 games for the Tigers this season. Led the team in scoring her junior year with 19 goals and a total of 45 points. Recorded three hat tricks against UMass Lowell (Sept. 10), UC Davis (Oct. 15), and Colgate (Oct. 29). Had seven games in which she scored two goals or more. Tallied two goals against No. 25 Maine in the American East Quarterfinal (Nov. 3). Punched in another score against No. 18 Stanford in the American East Semifinal (Nov. 4). Earned NFHCA All-Region First Team, NFHCA All-Third Team, Synapse Sports All-Second TeamAmerican East All-Championship Team honors, and awarded the American East Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

2016 (Sophomore):
The South African sophomore entered the record books with an impressive scoring season, putting up 57 points this season, the second-most in Pacific history.  She was fourth in the nation in goals scored with 22 and fourth in total points.  Van Wyk was held scoreless just six times this year and recorded multiple points in 14 games.  That includes a ten-point effort against LIU Brooklyn, the second-most points in a single game by any Tiger ever.  Her four goals in that game are also second-most in any one game.  Van Wyk was named All-Conference, All-Tournament, and All-Rookie after the season ended, as well as earning the America East Offensive Player of the Year award for leading the conference in scoring.  She had six multi-goal games on the year, with three against Drexel, four against LIU Brooklyn, and two against Appalachian State, Cal, Bryant, and New Hampshire. After one season, van Wyk found herself fifth in career points in Pacific history.

2015 (University of Pretoria):
Van Wyk spent her freshman year at the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Personal:
Van Wyk comes to Pacific from her hometown of Pretoria, South Africa.  She is a part of the U21 South African National Team.  In 2015 Junior World Cup qualifying, van Wyk scored 11 goals.  In the 2015 South Africa U-21 Women''s IPT, van Wyk scored 12 goals to help Northern Blues to a championship.
