Alex Matal serves as the Director of Water Polo Operations for both the men's and women's programs under head coach James Graham at Pacific.
Matal is primarily in charge of managing the budget for water polo operation, travel, recruiting and equipment, coordinating all team travel and travel with the team to all away competition, assisting with all recruiting events and travel and assisting with home game logistics.
He also plans the program's annual Wine and Water Polo fundraiser and works closely with a number of other areas in the athletic department, including athletic training, academic counseling and athletic communications.
Matal obtained a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology from UC San Diego in 2006 and a master's in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2015. He also holds a paralegal certificate, which he received from UCLA in 2009.
