2014-15 (Junior):
Knipper posted a 21:51.5 at the WCC championships, the third best time in school history. She also posted a 22:45.3 at the NCAA West Region on November 14th and a 22:20.3 at the Bronco Invite. At the WCC Preview Meet on Sept. 13th, Knipper posted a 22:55.5. In 5K action, she finished in 19:46.3 at the USF Invitational on Aug 30th.
Track 2014:
Knipper completed the 2014 Chabot/CSU East Bay Legacy Invite successfully. She fininshed second in the 800 Meters with a 2:22.93a and 1500 Meters with a career high of 4:49.09a.
2013-14 (Sophomore):
Knipper Ran a season-best 19:39 in the 5K at the NCAA Inter-Region Jamboree in October. Had her best showing in the 6K distance at the SF State Invitational in October, crossing the finish line in 23:40.1. Finished eighth overall at the Mills Invite in September.
Track 2013:
Knipper started her inaugural collegiate track season strong, with a first place finish in the 3000m at the Delta Preview meet. At the Kym Dyust Invitational, Knipper again paced Pacific with a time of 19:11 in the 5000m. Knipper showed versatility at the Hornet Invite, finishing in 12th place with a time of 2:24.86 in the 800m to lead the Tigers. At the Woody Wilson Invite, Knipper set a personal record in the 1500m with a 4:58.47.
2012-13 (Freshman):
Knipper set her personal record in the 6K at the Sonoma State Invite with a time of 23:38. She followed that performance with a 19:16 in the 5K Bronco Invite.
High School:
Knipper attended Linden High School where she ran cross country, track and played basketball, earning nine letters between the sports. While on the cross country squad she was All-Academic four times, the team''s MVP four straight seasons and a four-time all-league selection. Also, Knipper was named the team''s most dedicated player for three years. While on the track team she received three all-league honors and three All-Academic awards. She also won the Coaches Award and was the Eugene Short Female Athlete of the Year. While playing basketball, Knipper was a two-time All-Academic selection, won the Defensive Player of the Year award, was a second-team all-league selection and was the team''s MVP. Academically, Knipper was her class'' Valedictorian, the Senior Class President and was a Students in Prevention Peer Educator.
Personal: Mia is the daughter of Rick and Cindy, and she has one sister Michelle. She plans to study English at Pacific in hopes of becoming a lawyer. In her free time, Mia enjoys shopping, running, reading and eating frozen yogurt.
