Biography
2025 (Junior)
Competed in seven meets this season. Achieved a new personal record for the mile with a time of 5:20.98 at the Mike Fanelli Classic (Apr. 5), setting the fastest mile time for the team this season. Set a new personal best of 4:44.18 in the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (Apr. 18), establishing the best time for the team this season.
2024 (Sophomore)
Appeared in seven of 11 meets. Set the school record in the 1500m with a second place finish on a time of 4:45.32 at the Fresno State Invitational (Apr. 26-27). Ran personal best time of 5:24.90 to earn first in section and 21st overall in the mile at the Aggie Open (Mar. 8-9). Was a part of Pacific’s school record in the distance medley where the team earned seventh on a time of 12:26.33 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (Mar. 30). Competed with the Tigers’ 4x400m team who finished 19th at 4:20.25 during the Hornet Invitational (Mar. 15-16).
2023 (Freshman)
In her first season, Wernli competed in three events over the course of five meets. Most notably, Wernli competed in the both the mile and 1500 m events at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and the Johnny Mathis Track & Field Meet, setting a personal record of 5:42.21 and 5:12.38 respectively.
High School
A graduate of Brea Olinda High School, Wernli shined during her senior year of competition, helping guide the team to a second-place finish in the CIF-SS Division Finals and a 10th-place finish at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. A member of the track team, she competed and set personal best in three events, including the 800 meters (2:24.44), three-mile race (18:22.30), and 5,000 meters (19:30.70).
