2023-24 (Senior)
Made seven appearances prior to start of women's water polo's competitive season and earned three new personal best times. At the UNLV Invitational, secured three new personal bests in the 50 free (25.33), 100 breast (1:08.78) and 100 free (55.96). Posted the third fastest time on the team in the 50 breast (31.96) at the UNLV invitational. Received MPSF All-Academic honor.

2022-23 (Junior)
Competed for women's water polo at Pacific.

2021-22 (Sophomore)
Competed for women's water polo at Pacific. Made appearances in five meets.
 
2020-21 (Freshman)
Competed for women's water polo at Pacific. 

High School
Attended Greenwich High School, swimming three years for the Cardinals... Helped her team win FCIACS, LL's and the State Open Championship in 2017 & 2018...Also finished in second place in FCIACS, LL, and State Opens... Was a USA Water Polo Academic All-American for three years.

Personal 
Daughter of Henrietta and Reginald. Has one sibling, Ginika. Enjoys skiing, traveling, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, going to the beach, reading and watching tv. Akpata is majoring in bioengineering.
