2015-16 (Senior):
Nakaso started the year with a 20:25.8 at the Big Wave Invitational and ended it with a 24:26.3 at the NCAA Regionals. She set personal distance records at the Sacramento Capital Cross Challenge with a 19:14.0 and at the Bronco Invitational with a 23:11.4. At the WCC Championships, Nakaso ran a 24:18.3.
2014-15 (Junior):
Nakaso had an eventful 2015 season, posting a career-best 23.21.2 at the WCC championships, more than a minute improvement over her time on the same course in October, where she posted a 24:33.9 at the Bronco Invite. At the USF Invite on August 30th, Nakaso raced to a 20.37.8 finish in the 5K distance.
Track 2014:
Nakaso''s season included her caeer best in the 3000 Meters, finishing at 11:50.13a at the 2014 Bulldog Invitational. Nakaso also accomplished another career best in the 5000 Meters at the 2014 Chabot/CSU East Bay Legacy Invite, finishing second overall with a 20:05.81a.
2013-14 (Sophomore):
Nakaso''s sophomore campaign included a season-best 19:50 in the 5K Inter-Region Jamboree in October as well as a season-best 23:40.01 at the WCC Preview Meet in September. Nakaso finished 19th overall at the Nevada Twilight Classic 4K in September, crossing the finish line in 16:45.
Track 2013:
Nakaso clocked a 5:24.72 in the 1500m run at the Aggie Open, good for second on the team. At the SF State Distance Carnival, Nakaso represented Pacific in the 800m run, finishing with a time of 2:27.34.
2012-13 (Freshman):
Nakaso''s personal record in the 6K came at the Sonoma State Invite, clocking in with a time of 23:39. Then, two weeks later she added her first sub-20 5K with a time of 19:19 at the Bronco Invite.
High School:
Nakaso attended Dougherty Valley HS in San Ramon, Calif. where she was a three-time letterwinner in cross country and track, and earned four letters playing soccer. She won the NCS DIV Cross Country Championships in 2009 and won the DII NCS Soccer Championships in 2011. She earned all-league honors in soccer (three times) and track. Academically, she was on the National Honor Society, California Scholarship Foundation and was a NCS Scholar Athlete for 10 varsity seasons.
Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Stan and Marla and has one younger sister Kelly. Her hobbies include running, playing soccer, eating and hanging out with friends. She is studying Pre-Physical Therapy at Pacific.
