Biography
Track 2014:
Guerra''s best of the year in the 800 Meters came from the Johnny Mathis Invitational in March, finishing in 2:37.83a. Guerra finished eighth at the 2014 Chabot/CSU East Bay Legacy Invite in the 1500 Meters wtih a 5:21.98a. Following, at the 2014 Bulldog Invitational, Guerra set a career high in the 1500 Meters with a 5:21.31a.
2013-14 (Sophomore):
Guerra set a new personal record in the 6K distance, finishing in 26:09.8 at the SF State Invitational in October. Finished third overall at the Mills Invite 6K in September, with a time of 29:45. Her best 5K time of the year came in the Hornet Jamboree in September, finishing in 22:18.70.
Track 2013:
Guerra led all Pacific runners in the 1500m at the Kim Duyst Invitational with a 5:34. She set a personal record in the 1500m at the Johnny Mathis Invite with a 5:28.91. At the SF State Distance Carnival in San Francisco, Guerra placed fourth with a time of 5:55.19 in the mile run.
2012-13 (Freshman):
Guerra''s best time of the season came early on Sept. 8 at the Humboldt State Invite with a time of 26:47 in the 6K event. Her best 5K finish was at the Bronco Invite, coming in with a time of 21:10.
High School:
Guerra was a three-time letter winner in cross country for Lincoln High School in Stockton. As a senior she was her team captain on the cross country team. She also won the Most Improved Varsity Female for the Trojans squad in 2010. She also competed on Lincoln''s track and field team.
Personal:
Jessica is the daughter of Pedro and Maria, she has three siblings Josue, Luisa and Stephany. While at Pacific, Jessica plans to study psychology in hopes to become a sports psychologist. When she is not competing Jessica enjoys painting, hanging out with friends and baking.
