Biography
2024 (Junior)
Competed in all six races. Set a 5,000m personal record and season high with a time of 20:07.3 at the Big Wave Invitational (Sept. 7). Also set a 6,000m personal record and season high with a time of 22:41.9.
2023 (Sophomore)
Raced in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational (Oct. 14).
2022 (Freshman)
Competed in the Big Wave Invitational and earned the third highest placement of all freshmen that competed in the meet with a time of 21:59.4.
High School
A graduate of Brea Olinda High School, Wernli shined during her senior year of competition, helping guide the team to a second-place finish in the CIF-SS Division Finals and a 10th-place finish at the CIF State Cross Country Championships. A member of the track team, she competed and set personal best in three events, including the 800 meters (2:24.44), three-mile race (18:22.30), and 5,000 meters (19:30.70).
