Brittainy Chown

Chown returns for her second season of action, mainly assisting with sprinting and jumping within the Pacific track and field program.

She joins the Tigers' coaching staff after an illustrious track and field career at Division II power Humbdolt State.

Chown ranks second all-time in the long jump at Humboldt with a height of 18'9" in 2012. Brittainy was named Humboldt's 2011 Field Athlete of the Year as well as the HSU 2012 Track Athlete of the Year during her time at the Arcata campus. Additionally, Chown finished in second Place in Long Jump at the CCAA Championships in 2012.

Chown is the long jump record holder at McKinleyville High School. In addition, she was named Track and Field MVP each year from 2006-09 and won the HDNL Long Jump Championship each year from 2007-09. She was also the NCS Redwood Empire Long Jump Champion in 2008 and 2009. In addition to prowess in Track and Field, Chown was Mckinleyville's MVP in Soccer in 2008.

A 2013 graduate of Humboldt State, Brittainy is currently pursuing her master's degree in Health, Exercise and Sport Science from Pacific.
