2014:
Continuing her play alongside of Katy Tagart, Birch was one of the Tigers'' most successful sand players in the 2014 as she posted an impressive 7-3 mark while playing both at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions. Four of Birch''s wins came at No. 4 as she and her partner moved up from No. 5 after an injury forced the Tigers to juggle their lineup.

2013:
In her inaugural season in the sand for the Tigers, Megan saw action primarily alongside of sophomore Katy Tagart and freshman Mia Feiner. She picked up her first duo victory on Mar. 23 in the Tigers'' 3-2 win over Sacramento State. Playing in the No. 5 spot with Tagart, the duo put the Tigers'' on the board first in the match with a two-set win over the Hornets Elston and Menees. In the match Birch led the way with 11 kills and one block. Her 11 kills in the win set her season-high, a mark she repeated two more times. A match later, Birch posted her top serving day of the season as she scored a team season-best 11 aces against Cal on April 7. For the year, Megan tallied 75 kills to go along with 58 digs, three blocks, and 35 aces.
