2016:
As part of Pacific''s fifth pairing, Diederich and Alex Holt went 12-2. The pair also served as the fourth pairing once and won that to finish 13-2 overall. Just once all season was Diederich held under ten digs, reached 20 or more three times against USF, Cal, and Saint Mary''s. Her season high in digs was 28 against Cal. Diederich also had 110 kills on the year, with five games in double digits. Against Sacramento State, USF, Cal, New Mexico, and Santa Clara, Diederich recorded a double-double. She had 34 aces on the year as well.
2015:
With her primary teammate of Katrin Gotterba, Diederich spent most of her second season playing as one of the Tigers'' exhibition pairs. In three matches, the Tigers'' smallest pair came up with a 2-1 record, beating duos from Stanford and Santa Clara after dropping their first match together. In total, Diederich finished her year with 78 kills and 88 digs to go with 14 aces in seven total exhibition matches.
2014:
Playing her first year of sand volleyball, Diederich saw limited action as she jumped onto the active roster midseason due to injury. Playing alongside of three different partners, Diederich had her most success alongside of Anne-Sophie Bauer as the two teamed up for a pair of wins. The sophomore''s first collegiate victory came against Sacramento State on April 13, shortly followed by a win over Stanford later in the day.
High School/Club:
A 2013 graduate of Skutt Catholic HS, Diederich was a four-year letterwinner for Skyhawks. As a senior, Diederich earned High School All-America honors from PrepVolleyball.com to go along with all-conference honors which she earned all four years of high school. Additionally, Jessica earned all-state honors in each of her four seasons of action including earning second team honors as a senior. In 2012, Jessica captained the Skyhawks to one win shy of their second-straight District championship as they finished second in the district championship playoffs. She finished her career at Skutt as the school''s all-time leader in aces with 166 while also posting the most ever in a single set with seven. In addition, Diederich would put her name down as the all-time single match assists leader with 51. Outside of high school play, Diederich was the captain of the Nebraska Elite Volleyball Club. Leading the way, Diederich and her Elite teammates finished in the top-10 at the 2011 Junior Olympics in Atlanta. In 2012, the team won the Northern Lights Open Division title while in 2013 they finished third at the 20 & Under Division Puerto Rico Volleyball Championships.
Personal:
Jessica Diederich is the daughter of Lisa and Bill Diederich. She has two siblings, Tomi and Mitch. She is studying health and exercise sports science at Pacific.
