High School
Garza, a 6-0 forward, finished her senior year at Modesto Christian High School as the Crusaders' leading rebounder with 8.7 boards per game. She averaged 13.8 points per game, while also tallying 2.3 blocks per game along with 3.3 steals per game. In conference action Modesto Christian High School finished with a perfect 10-0 record and went on to compile a final 28-5 overall record. For the second-straight season, Garza and the Crusaders were named Sac-Joaquin Section champions and moved into the Division IV California State tournament. Capping off an impressive season, the Crusaders were eliminated in the quarterfinal round of the state championship tournament. As a junior, the Crusaders compiled a 27-8 overall record and went undefeated in the Trans Valley League with a perfect 13-0 record. Garza led the team with 8.2 rebounds per game, while adding 11.9 points per game, second on the team in 2008-09. She also recorded 3.6 steals per game. Garza led her teammates to the Division IV State Championships where the Crusaders finished as runners-up by only three points. Garza found her name on the 2008-09 First Team All-Trans Valley League list and was given the Sportsmanship Award after the State Championship game. Her awards continued to roll in as Garza capped off her senior season as a 2009 First Team All-District Modesto Bee recipient. As a sophomore, Garza led the team in rebounds per game at 7.0, to go with 11.1 points per game, helping Modesto Christian to a 28-5 record and 12-1 season in league play. During her freshman year with the Crusaders, Garza led the squad in rebounds per game when she averaged 4.6 along with 7.3 points per game. That season the Crusaders compiled a 27-6 overall record and a perfect 13-0 mark in the Trans Valley League. In addition to her play on the court, Garza also lettered in track & field as a State qualifier in the 400-meter. She won the Sac-Joaquin Section Championship in the 400 Meter her first three years.

Personal
Daughter of Stephanie and Jorge Garza, Garza was born on Nov. 19. She has two brothers (Jeff and Jake) and a younger sister Addie. Her aunt Michelle (women's basketball) and uncle Kalaini (baseball) were scholarship athletes at Loyola Marymount. Garza intends to major in graphic design.
