Biography

2009-10 (Sophomore):
Eliza served as a force behind the three-point line this season and her 93 assists along with 50 steals in 2009-10 were tops among Pacific players. Dy finished third in scoring this season, averaging 8.3 points per game and 8.8 points per game in conference match-ups. Also in conference play, Eliza tallied 54 assists to lead the team, along with 19 steals. Dy's single-game career performance came back on Feb. 11, when Pacific upset top-ranked UC Davis as she too dropped six three-pointers to land third in Pacific single-game history. Dy went on to record a career-high 26 points to lead the Tigers in that contest. Her second-best showing came during the final game of the regulation season against Cal State Northridge on March 6. In the double overtime victory over the Matadors, Eliza tallied a team-high 18 points and recorded the first double-double of her career with a personal-best 11 assists to lead either team in that conference. For her efforts in her sophomore campaign, Dy was named Honorable Mention All-Big West Conference.

Previous School:
Dy spent one season at Mt. Sac Junior College in Los Angeles, Calif., where she helped lead her team to a 32-4 record in 2008-09, when the Mounties became the No. 1 seed in the California Community College State Basketball Championships. As a freshman, Dy was named the Mounties' Most Valuable Player and earned First Team All-South Coast Conference honors after averaging 9.0 points, 3.8 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. Additionally, she capped off her junior college career being named All-State Third Team and Scholar-Baller. Academically, Dy was named to the Dean's List and pursued Associate Degrees in kinesiology, wellness and social behavior and sciences.

High School:
Prior to Mt. Sac Junior College, Dy graduated from Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona, Calif. As a senior, Dy averaged 13.6 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game. Additionally, Dy was one of the best sharpshooters in high school basketball hitting 66 percent of her shots from distance. For her play, Dy earned All-Miramonte League honors all four years at Diamond Ranch HS and All-CIF honors in each of her final two years, as the team went on to win a CIF championship.

Personal:
Born in West Covina, Calif., Eliza Dy is the daughter of Jimmy and Wilma Dy. She has five siblings, Vanessa, Jevel, Emilee, Elaine Saunder and, Erin Kempthorne. In her first year at Pacific, Eliza is studying sport sciences.
