Biography
2009-10 (Junior):
Plagued by injury during the season, McLeod appeared in 12 contests last season including making two starts. On two occasions Claire sank a season-high seven points, doing so against Santa Clara on Dec. 13 and then against Cal State Northridge in Pacific's Big West Conference opening-win on Jan. 2. Defensively, McLeod stood out with season-high marks in Pacific's contest at Fresno State on Dec. 22. The nine rebounds and two steals recorded by Claire were the highest total of each category during the 2009-10 season. She went on to nab at least one rebound in all but one of the games Claire played. And from the stripe, McLeod sank 13-of-18, tallying a 72.2 free throw shooting percentage.
2008-09 (Sophomore):
Throughout her first year at Pacific, Claire worked her way into a substantial reserve role off the bench for the Tigers, playing both in the front court and back court throughout the year. Seeing action in 26 of Pacific's games, McLeod averaged 3.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game. Against Fresno State on Dec. 6, Claire nearly had her first career double-double as she posted a career-best 12 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. From the floor, Claire went 3-for-5 while also posting a season-best 6-for-7 showing at the line. Less than a month later, McLeod had another career night, this time on the boards as she grabbed 10 rebounds in Pacific's conference opener against Cal State Northridge on Jan. 2.
Previous School:
McLeod transferred to Pacific from LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia. A member of the Victorian State National Team, McLeod led her team to a U16 national championship while finishing in second place at the U18 and U20 levels. In high school at Wesley College, McLeod captained the Lions to their first APS Premiership in over a decade as a senior after averaging 21.6 points and 12.8 rebounds per game. At the club level, McLeod won the Victorian Basketball League championship as a member of the Nunawading Spectres in 2007 and averaged 11 points and 12.2 rebounds per game as a member of the Knox Raiders.

Born in Santon, South Africa, Claire McLeod is the daughter of Cheryll and Frank McLeod. In her second year at Pacific, Claire is majoring in sports medicine.
