Biography
2013-14 (Freshman):
In his first season, Ly had his best meet of the year at the Arena Invitational in Los Angeles as he posted a hanful of personal bests. In the 50 Free, Justin clocked in at 23.60 while he added a 2:13/73 finish in the 200 Breast and 57.80 in the 100 Fly.
High School:
A 2013 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, Calif., Justin swam four seasons for the Eagles. As a senior, Ly set a conference record in the breaststroke with a time of 1:01. In addition, he swam the 200 medley and freestyle relays while also taking part of the 400 freestyle relay.
Personal:
Justin Ly was born in Sacramento, Calif., and is the son of Lien Tran and Danny Ly. He has two younger siblings, Taylor and Katelynn. He is pursuing a degree in biology.
