Biography

2016-17 (Senior):
Vu''s senior year included a new personal best in the 100 Breast when he won the event against UC Santa Cruz with a time of 1:00.59.  He also put up a 150 Fly time of 1:22.38 and a 200 Fly time of 1:50.45, both personal bests.  That time in the 200 Fly was also the second-fastest of any Tiger this year.

2015-16 (Junior):
A master of the fly, Vu swam a 48.07 in the 100 Fly and a 1:50.72 in the 200 Fly to finish third amongst Tigers this year.  He also had the third-best time in the 200 IM when he swam a 1:57.15. Vu made the All-MPSF Second Team in the 100 Fly as well as on two of Pacific''s relay teams.  He was a part of the First Team All-MPSF 400 Medley Relay team that swam a 3:12.77.  His Second Team relay selection was as a part of the 200 Medley Relay team that swam a 1:26.80.  Vu made the All-Academic Team as well.

2014-15 (Sophomore):
Vu was a member of the MPSF All-Academic Team.  He had the second-best time of all Tigers in the 200 Fly (1:51.53), 100 Fly (49.10), and 100 Back (50.86).  Vu also competed in the 200 IM, where he posted a time of 1:55.98.

2013-14 (Freshman):
Vu had a strong first year in the pool for the Tigers as he swam an array of different style for Pacific as a freshman. At the MPSF Championships, Vu came up with one of the top 50 Back times on the year as he clocked in at 23.13 as part of the Tigers'' relay team. He showed off his best when his teamamtes needed him as part of relays as he came up with his fastest 50 Free time against Stanford on Jan. 11 with a time of 23.69. His best 100 Back time came at the Arena Invitational in Los Angelse midseason when he posted a time of 52.39.

High School:
Jared swam for Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, Calif. from where he graduated from in 2013. While at Abraham Lincoln, Vu was the four-time team MVP as he led the Mustangs to the CISFSF AAA Championship.

Personal:
Jared Vu was born in San Francisco, Calif., and is the son of Tina and Jeremy Vu. He has two younger siblings, Jordan and Brooke. He is pursuing a degree in computer science.
