Biography
2015-16 (Junior):
Klein was a part of the MPSF All-Academic Team as well as the All-MPSF Second Team in the 200 Back and 800 Free Relay. Klein helped Pacific''s relay team put up a 6:28.52. In the 200 Back, he swam a 1:47.12, a time he had bested earlier in the year with a 1:46.35, tops on the team. Klein also had the best time amongst Tigers in the 200 IM with a 1:50.40 and the second-best in the 400 IM at 4:11.49.
2014-15 (Sophomore):
Klein’s steady improvement as a Tiger continued, as he made the conference Second Team in the 100 Back and 200 Back. He finished with times of 50.05 and 1:47.62 in those two events. He was also honored as part of the All-Academic team. His season-best time of 49.55 in the 100 Back was the fastest on the team, as was his 1:45.38 in the 200 Back and 1:39.00 in the 200 Free.
2013-14 (Freshman):
Klein proved to be an all-around talent for the Tigers as he put together strong showings in the Back and IM throughout the year. In his first-ever event against the top team in the nation, Curtis timed a 24.72 in the 50 Back, the fourth fastest time on the year for the Tigers. He added the second-fastest mark in the 200 Back at the Arena Invitational when he touched at 1:48.23. Klein closed out his season with a 10th place finish in the 200 IM at the MPSF Championships when he posted a time of 1:51.69.
High School:
Curtis graduated from West Linn High School in West Linn, Ore. in 2013 after a standout career in the pool for the Lions. In 2012, Klein was named a High School All-American after posting a OSAA 6A State Record in the 200 Back. His time was also good enough to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Trials. In addition to his excellence in the pool, Curtis was a three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-America award winner.

Curtis Klein was born in West Linn, Ore., and is the son of Sharon and Russell Klein. He is pursuing a degree in computer science.
