Biography

2015-16 (Redshirt Senior):
Franke was part of the MPSF All-Academic Team for his work in the classroom.  In the pool, he was a Second Team All-MPSF member for his 56.57 in the 100 Breast.  That time was the second-fastest of any Tiger this year.  Franke also had a 2:09.42 in the 200 Breast, third amongst Tigers.

2014-15 (Senior):
Franke redshirted and will be back this year competing as a senior.

2013-14 (Junior):
Continuing his excellent run in the pool for the Tigers as a junior, Franke earned his first All-MPSF First Team award as he took the honor in the 100 Breast when he posted a time of 54.35 for a second play finish at the MPSF Championships. Franke also earned second team honors in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay. The 200 Relay team posted a time of 1:29.28 to finish just :06 of a second off of the school record time of 1:29.22. In addition to his awards in the pool, Franke was named to the Academic All-MPSF team.

2012-13 (Sophomore):
Franke''s sophomore season was highlighted by an NCAA qualifying time of 55.32 in the 100 Breast at the 2013 MPSF Championships. The time was good for seventh while his mark of 2:08.37 in the 200 Breast was good for 24th. He took third in the 100 Breast (58.54) and seventh in the 200 Breast (2:14.38) at the Pacific Invite. The UNLV Winter Invite saw Franke placed third in the 100 Breast (57.71) and eighth in the 200 Breast (2:12.40). 

2011-12 (Freshman):
Specializing in the breast events for the Tigers, Franke had his best meet of the season against conference rival CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 29. He placed second in the 100 Breast with a time of 59.10 before collecting third in the 200 Breast behind a mark of 2:10.72. Franke added a third-place finish in the 100 Breast at the Quad Meet on Nov. 5. 

Davis HS (''11):
Franke graduated from Davis High School in Davis, Calif. He led his team to a first-place finish at the San Joaquin sections and was tabbed as an All-America selection.

Personal:
Franke was born in Woodland, Calif., and is the son of Ken and Melissa Franke. He has an older sister, Allie, and two younger sisters, Clarissa and Isabella. Franke’s hobbies include swimming, sleeping, and eating. He is majoring in mechanical engineering.
