Junior (2010-11):
Holmes swam a solid meet against Cal Poly on Jan. 28, finishing second in the 100 Fly (53.27) and fourth in the 200 Fly (2:00.09). Holmes claimed fifth place in the 200 Fly against UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 29, touching the wall at 2:02.64.

Santa Rosa JC (2008-10):
Holmes attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, Calif. He was a two-time All-America honoree in the Fly for the Bear Cubs.

Chico HS (‘08):
Holmes graduated from Chico High School in Chico, Calif., where he earned three letters in swimming and two letters in basketball.

Personal:
Holmes was born in Chico, Calif., and is the son of Carol Denning and Larry Holmes. He has three brothers, Rex, Casey, and Jesse, and one sister, Nina. Holmes is majoring in business finance and enjoys playing basketball in his free time.
