Biography
2012-13(Sophomore):
One of Pacific''s top backstrokers, Rogers'' sophomore campaign washighlighted by a 14th-place finish in the 100 Back (50.13) at the2013 MPSF Championships. He took third in the 100 Back (51.80) atthe Pacific Invite and added a runner-up finish in the 100 Back(50.28) and a fifth-place showing in the 100 Free (45.98) at theUNLV Winter Invite. Academically, Rogers earned MPSF All-Academichonors.
2011-12(Freshman):
Rogers immediately established himself as one of the topbackstrokers in the MPSF in his first year at Pacific, earningSecond Team All-MPSF honors in the 100 Back. He collected fourevent titles during the regular season, defeating conference foesCSUB, Air Force and Seattle in different meets. He added a trio ofthird-place finishes, two in the 100 Free and one in the 200 Free,to his resume. At the 2012 MPSF Championships, Rogers finishedfifth in the 100 Back behind a time of 49.76, a mark that was topson the team and eighth among all MPSF swimmers. He added a16th-place finish in the 200 Free with a time of 1:42.93. That markwas also tops on the team.
HighSchool:
Rogers attended Wesley College in Perth, Western Australia, wherehe was a four-sport athlete. As a swimmer, he was a Public SchoolsAssociation First Division selection each year and owns leaguerecords in the 50 Back and the 100 Back. Rogers also played waterpolo and Australian Rules Football, in which he was a First TeamAll-Division selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior.
Personal:
Rogers was born in Subiaco, Western Australia, and is the son ofJay and Sue Rogers. He has an older sister, Takara, and a youngersister, Miarka. Rogers is majoring in business and hopes to becomea stock broker.
