2012-13 (Senior):
Platow''s senior campaign was highlighted by a 23rd-place finish in the 200 Fly (1:54.05) at the 2013 MPSF Championships. He took 11th in both the 100 Fly (54.42) and the 200 Fly (2:04.32) at the Pacific Invite. The UNLV Winter Invite saw Platow place fifth in the 200 Fly (1:55.55) and 13th in the 100 Fly (52.72).
2011-12 (Junior):
In his third season at Pacific, Platow specialized in the butterfly and distance freestyle events for the Tigers. A pair of fourth-place finishes, one each in the 200 Fly and 1000 Free, highlighted his sophomore campaign. He added a seventh-place showing in the 500 Free versus Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz. At the 2012 MPSF Championships, he placed 22nd in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:55.35. His preliminary time of 1:54.11 ranked third on the team.
2010-11 (Sophomore):
Platow was a Second Team All-MPSF selection in the 1650 Free and finished his sophomore season placing fourth in the 1650 Free (16:21.44) and 11th in the 200 Back (1:55.92) at the 2011 MPSF Championships. Platow had his best finish against UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 29, placing third in the 500 Free with a time of 4:50.66. On the year, he earned two fourth-place finishes in the 1000 Free and one fourth place finish in both the 500 Free and 1650 Free.
2009-10 (Freshman):
Platow started his first season at Pacific with a 12th place finish in the 400 IM during the Pacific Invitational with a time of 4:25.91. He concluded the season on a high note, registering a ninth place finish in the 1000 Free (9:34.87) during the Big West Championships. During the conference championships he also set a personal best and team season time in the 1650 Free, with a 16:04.78 pace.
High School:
Platow graduated from Fairfield Preparatory High School in Fairfield, Conn., where he earned four letters in swimming. He holds the school records in the 500 Free, the 200 Free Relay, and the 400 Free Relay. As a freshman, Platow helped his school win the Connecticut state championships. He earned All-State, All-Southern Connecticut Conference, and All-America honors as a junior and senior.
Personal:
Platow was born in Bronx, N.Y., and is the son of Bill and Maura Marden. He has two older brothers, Danny and Dave, both of whom swam for Pacific. Platow enjoys watching sports in his spare time, and is pursuing a degree in business.
