Biography
2015-16 (Freshman):
Schmidlin redshirted his freshman season at Pacific.
High School:
Schmidlin graduated from Valley Catholic in Beaverton, Ore. As a sophomore Ryan placed 5th in the OSAA 3A/2A/1A State Championships. He received first team All-State honors for his play. A year later as a junior, Schmidlin finished second at the District 1 boys golf championships while leading the Valiants to a second-place team finish. He would earn a berth to the state championships. He would lead the Valiants to the state championships as a team in 2015 as a senior where they would take second place overall. As an individual, Schmidlin would pace his team and take a fourth place finish as an individual.
