Biography
2017-18 (Senior):
Played in two events. Recorded a stroke average of 75.83 on the season with nine birdies and one eagle. Finished tied for 35th at the Sacramento State Invitational thanks in part to a second-round score of 71, his best score of the season.
2016-17 (Junior):
Jesper made one appearance during this third year with Pacific participating as an individual in the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational where his best round came at three over par.
2015-16 (Sophomore):
Making an appearance in four tournaments for Pacific, Jesper debuted in the Tigers'' full lineup for the first time in his career at the Del Walker Intercollegiate where he would finish 42nd. He would also take part in the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate and the PING Cougar Classic while playing as an individual at the Pacific Invitational. Jesper finished the year with a 75.92 stroke average. He earned Academic All-WCC for his work in the classroom at the end of the year.
2014-15 (Freshman):
Jesper appeared in two tournaments with the Tigers during his first season as he played as an individual at the Pacific Invitational as well as the Sacramento State Invitational. In his debut, Jesper posted his best finish of the year with a 54th place finish at the Pacific Invitational.
High School:
Kasanen came to Pacific from the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida after emigrating from Espoo, Finland. As a senior, he finished fifth at the Florida Junior Tour event at Fountains Country Club as well at the IMG Junior Golf Tour event at PGA National. Back home in Finland, Kasanen finished sixth at the Finnish International Stroke Play Championship and also led his team to a second place finish at the Finnish National Team Matchplay Championship where he went undefeated in his individual matches. Off of the course, he was a member of the National Honors Society and received an IMG Honorable Mention for showing outstanding work in all areas at IMG.
