In her third season with the Tigers, Canillas played in 16earning nine starts.

Canillas started 10 games, while appearing in 16 for theTigers last season.
2009 (RSFreshman):
Canillas appeared in 11 games during her inaugural seasonon the field after redshirting in 2008. She earned her lone startagainst Kent State on Sept. 3.
2008(Freshman):
Canillas redshirted the 2008 season.
High School:
Canillas graduated from Hilltop High School in ChulaVista, Calif., in 2008. Marleen earned a combined 10 letters infield hockey (three), soccer (four) and track (three). TheLancers’ captain during the 2007 season, Marleen earned teamMVP honors following the season. Canillas also nabbed All-South BayLeague (SBL) First Team honors as a senior and was named to theAll-CIF Second Team. Following her junior campaign, Canillas earnedAll-SBL Second Team and the Lancers’ Best Midfielder award.Off the field, Marleen earned San Diego Union Tribune All-AcademicFirst Team in 2007-08.

Marleen Canillas was born in San Diego, Calif. Daughter ofJohn and Elizabeth Canillas, she is a psychology major who plans onworking in law enforcement upon graduation. Her hobbies includelistening to music, shopping and going to the beach.
