Biography

2016 (Senior):
Morrison scored three goals in her senior year, matching her career best.  Morrison ended her career with 21 points over her four years holding down Pacific''s defense.  She scored twice against Dartmouth, then added another goal against No. 17 Albany in the semifinals of the America East tournament.  The Glendora native appeared in all 21 games, ending her career with 78 appearances for the Tigers.  She was named the Elite-17 player of the America East tournament as well for her academic and athletic excellence.

2015 (Junior):
Morrison played every game for the Tigers, starting 17 of them as Pacific''s last line of defense.  Morrison also scored the first goal against New Hampshire in the first round of the America East tournament for her only point of the season.  She recorded three shots against VCU and against Michigan State.  Her defensive work helped Pacific record their tenth-best GAA ever at just 1.80 goals allowed per game.

2014 (Sophomore):
Morrison played in all 20 games for the Tigers, making 12 starts, and finished fourth on the squad with four goals. Morrison tallied her first of the year in a win at Dartmouth (Sept. 9) and added scores against Central Michigan (Sept. 18), and UC Davis (Oct. 18) - all Tigers'' victories. In Pacific''s 3-2 overitme win over UC Davis (Oct. 18), Morrison donned the field keeper''s jersey in the waning minutes as the Tigers pulled the goalie for the extra attacker while down a goal. Morrison gathered a deflected penalty corner and roofed a shot to send the game into extra time.

2013 (Freshman):
Morrison made an immediate impact as a freshman, appearing in all 19 games for the Orange and Black, including 11 starts. Morrison scored goals in consecutive games against Iowa and UC Davis on October 13 and October 18.

High School:
Morrison was a standout defender at Glendora High School in Glendora, Calif. In 2012 as a team captain, she was an NFCHA Regional All-American, was the Most Valuable Midfielder of the Sunset League and the Most Valuable Player for the Glendora field hockey team. During Morrison''s junior season she received the Sunset League''s Most Valuable Defender award. As a defender, she tallied eight goals and 10 assists. She finished her career with 25 goals and 25 assists. In the classroom Morrison excelled and received NFCHA Academic All-American recognition.

Personal:
Morrison is the daughter of Pacific Field Hockey great and 1986 All-American Leigh Morrison (McNiff). Her father Scott Morrison also played football at Pacific and led the team in receiving in 1986. She has two siblings, an older brother, Ryne, and younger sister, Ellie. Her brother plays football at Colgate University. In her fourth year at Pacific, Kyleigh is a business administration major with a concentration in finance. Off the field, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, hiking and walking her dog.
