Biography

2016 (Senior):
In her final season at Pacific, Egan matched her career high in points with four assists while picking up six defensive saves.  Egan picked up an assist against Dartmouth as well as three defensive saves in that game alone.  She also had assists against LIU Brooklyn, Appalachian State, and Stanford.  Egan made defensive saves against Appalachian State, Stanford, and UC Davis as well.  She ends her career eighth all-time in defensive saves with nine.

2015 (Junior):
Egan ended the season second on the team in assists, helping to spark Pacific''s attack from her place in the midfield.  The junior started two games and played in 17, putting up four assists along the way as the primary stopper on most of Pacific''s penalty corners.  Against Indiana, Egan put up two assists for her only multi-point game of the year.  She also had assists against VCU and Missouri State.  She made a game-saving defensive save in Pacific''s 1-0 victory over UC Davis on September 25.

2014 (Sophomore):
Katharine Egan played in all 20 games with 14 starts as a sophomore. She registered three shots on the season. Egan was second on the team in defensive saves with two, as she blocked a shot on the line to help preserve a 1-0 victory over Cal (Nov. 1) and had another defense save against Stanford on Oct. 3.

2013 (Freshman):
Egan made an immediate impact in her first season as a member of the Tigers. She played in all 19 contests, starting nine times. Egan scored her first collegiate goal in just her second game against Missouri State on September 2. For her efforts, she was named NorPac West Rookie of the Week. Egan registered assists against No. 6 Stanford on October 4 and against UC Davis on October 18.

High School:
Egan was a midfielder for Vista High School in Vista, Calif. She was a four-time letterwinner for the Vista field hockey team that won the Avocado East League Championship in 2011 and 2012. Egan was named all-conference every year as a member of the field hockey squad including a first team selection when she was a team captain in 2012. Egan was named All-CIF in her final two seasons at Vista and also competed on the soccer and track squads. Academically, she was on the Principal''s Academic Honor Roll and the California Scholarship Federation.

Personal:
Katharine is the daughter of John and Elizabeth Egan. She has a younger brother, James, who plays baseball at Vista High School. In her third season at Pacific, she is a health and exercise science major. When she is not playing field hockey, Katharine enjoys being outdoors, hiking and snowboarding.
