Biography

2015 (Senior)
Bettencourt started four games and appeared in 16 for the Tigers in her final season for Pacific.  She recorded one assist and was named to the America East All-Academic Team, making it three straight years of All-Academic awards for Bettencourt.

2014 (Junior)
Hannah Bettencourt played in 19 games, starting five as a junior. She registered five points on the year with a goal and three assists. She posted an assist in the season-opener against Liberty (Aug. 29), and added a goal in the second game of the year against Delaware. Her goal against the Blue Hens came on one of just three shot attempts she took all season. Bettencourt also picked up an assist in games against Appalachian State on Sept. 5 and Nov. 7. Bettencout was named to the NorPac All-Academic team for the second-straight season.


2013 (Sophomore)
Bettencourt once again played in all of Pacific''s contests, starting 10 of the 19 games she played in 2013. She recorded a pair of assists on the year, chipping in on a penalty corner against No. 6 Stanford on October 4 and recording another against UC Davis on October 18. As a key part of the penalty corner offense for the Orange and Black, Bettencourt was honored with a spot on the NorPac All-Academic team following the season after maintaing a 3.71 GPA as an engineering major.

2012 (Freshman)
Bettencourt made an immediate impact for the Tigers'' backline in her first-ever collegiate season. She played in all 19 of Pacific''s games, earning 15 starts. She tallied her first-ever career point when she picked up an assist against Maine on September 16. 

High School
As a senior captain in 2011, Hannah was named First-Team All-Palomar League and First-Team All-North County. She was also honored as the 2011 Torrey Pines HS Field Hockey Most Outstanding Athlete, Second-Team All-California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and a High School Sports Association Senior All-Star. Hannah also had an outstanding club career while competing in the Asics League and playing for the U19 Futures Elite Region 11. In 2010, she was Second-Team All-Palomar League, leading her team to the league championship and the squad was a CIF-San Diego Section Division I Finalist. As a sophomore, she helped Torrey Pines to a CIF-San Diego Section Semi-Final appearance and was an Avocado League Finalist. While at Torrey Pines, Hannah also competed on the 2010 and 2011 CIF-San Diego Section Division I Lacrosse Championship team. Academically, Hannah excelled as she was named to the 2011 National Honor Society, the San Diego Tribune All-Academic team from 2009-11 and was a Torrey Pines High School Scholar Athlete from 2009-11.

Personal
Hannah is the daughter of Alan and Ricki, and has two sisters Molly and Kinsey. Molly, her twin, is also on the Pacific Field Hockey squad. She is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Pacific. Her hobbies include runnning, going to the beach, swimming and rock climbing.
