Biography

Pitched all four years he attended Pacific appearing in 52 games and started 48. Finished with a career ERA of 5.07 with 192 total strikeouts and averaged a career 6.25 strikeouts per nine innings. 

Senior (2017):
Lydon had a 3-3 record in his eight starts his senior year. He averaged 5.87 strikeouts per nine innings and had a 0.00 ERA for the month of February and carried a 2.10 in games in which he won.

Summer (2016):
Lydon took the mound for the Lodi Crushers in the summer.  He threw 13.1 innings and had a 0.67 ERA over that span, striking out 15.

Junior (2016):
Leading the team in innings, Lydon became the first Tiger since Jake Jenkins in 2014 to throw 90 innings with his 91.2 innings.  Lydon had a complete-game shutout on April 15 against Portland, then followed that up with another complete game where he allowed just one run on April 22 against Loyola Marymount.  He had three complete games on the year and struck out a career-best 60 batters on the year.  Lydon was one of only five WCC pitchers to throw 90 innings this year.  He won three games as well, matching his career best.

Summer (2015):
In 7 games for the Willmar Stingers of the Northwoods League, Lydon went 5-0 with a 1.71 ERA.  Lydon struck out 31 batters in 42 innings.

Sophomore (2015):
Taking over the Friday night duties for the Tigers, Lydon led Pacific''s pitching staff in innings pitched as the second-year starter tossed 74.1 innings in 15 appearances including 14 starts. The sophomore threw the Tigers'' only complete game of the year and his first complete game of his career on Mar. 28 at Santa Clara. In the loss, Lydon went 8.0 innings while giving up three runs on eight hits while striking out 10. He would best his strikeout total in his next start as he tossed a career-best 12 Ks in his 5-4 win over WCC Tournament Champion, Pepperdine, on April 3. Overall, Lydon finished the year with 56 strikeouts.

Summer (2014):
Will pitched in the Northwoods League for the Willmar Stingers. He finished the summer 4-3 with one save and a 3.79 ERA in 40.1 innings pitched. Overall, Lydon struck out 30 and allowed just 17 runs.

Freshman (2014):
In his first season as a Tiger, Lydon was Pacific''s primary Sunday starter as he appeared in 13 games with 12 starts. Overall, Will went 3-4 on the season with a 4.45 ERA. In 64.2 innings pitched, Lydon struck out 46. He threw five quality starts on the year in which he went 3-1 with one no-decision. His first collegiate victory came against the WCC champs as he downed Pepperdine, 7-5, on Mar. 16 after going 6.0 innings while giving up three runs on five hits while striking out four.

High School:
Lydon graduated from Tokay High School where he spent three seasons pitching and playing the infield for the Tigers. A three-time all-league honoree, Lydon culminated his career with a first team award to go along with being named to the all-area team. As a senior, he posted a 1.27 ERA while leading the team with six wins in 11 appearances. He threw a team-high 55 innings while tallying 57 strikeouts. At the plate, Lydon hit. 333 while knocking in a team-best 24 RBI with seven doubles and five triples. 

Personal
Lydon has one older sister, Raechel, and one younger brother, Robert.  he is the son of Patrick and Debbie Lydon.
