Christopher Fornaci joins Chris Rodriquez’s staff in a Player Development role.

Fornaci acquired 8 years of coaching and player development experience during his off seasons under former San Francisco Giant, Erik Johnson as an infield and hitting instructor. He brings additional knowledge from playing under manager Pj Phillips, and playing with former big leaguers such as O’koyea Dickson, JJ Hoover, and Brandon Phillips.

Fornaci, graduated from Pepperdine University in 2016 where he earned a degree in Advertising. During his Pepperdine tenure the Waves won two West Coast Conference Championships and appeared in three WCC tournaments, winning two. He played in two NCAA Regionals, Cal Poly 2014, Cal State Fullerton 2015, and one Super Regional, TCU 2014. Fornaci was named to the 2015 Cal State Fullerton All Regional team at 3d base.

His Pepperdine career is remembered for tenacious leadership, clutch play both offensively and defensively and breaking the WCC hit by pitch record (24).

Fornaci played professionally for five years, winning two minor league championships. The first with the Vallejo Admirals of the Pacific Association in 2017 and the second with the Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League in 2021. Fornaci earned two Gold Gloves at 3d base during his time in the Pacific Association and was a finalist in the Atlantic League.

Offensively, Fornaci accumulated 45 Home Runs, 64 Doubles, 214 RBI’s, .405 OBP and a .802 OPS.
