Vic Sanchez

Vic Sanchez re-joins the Tigers asundergraduate assistant for the 2012 season. The former Pacificplayer finished his career with the Orange and Black as theTigers’ single-season home run record, slugging 15 long ballsin 1994. He sits seventh on Pacific’s all-time home runleaderboard with 20 in two seasons.

Selected in the 13th round of the 1994 Major League BaseballDraft, he played professionally for nine seasons with the HoustonAstros and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations, compiling a .278career average and 128 home runs.

Following his playing career, Sanchez returned to Stockton toserve as the head coach for the boys varisty baseball team at AmosAlonzo Stagg High School, a position he’s held since 2006,winning 46 games in six seasons.
