Jacquez joined the Tigers' coachingstaff in November of 2012 and enters his third season as Pacific'svolunteer assistant coach.

In November of 2013, Pat washonored with an induction into the Stockton Athletic Hall of Famefor his abilities both on and off the field as well as his work inthe Stockton community. 

Prior to Pacific, Pat pitchedprofessionally for six years and has served as St. Mary's HighSchool pitching coach.

Jacquez was drafted out of Stagg High School in 1965 (wherehe was a teammate of current Stanford head coach Mark Marquess) bythe Houston Colt 45s (now Astros). He did not sign and instead wentto Santa Clara on full scholarship, where he posted a 5-1 recordand a 0.78 ERA as a freshman, earning First Team All-CaliforniaIntercollegiate Baseball Association honors.

In 1967, the Chicago Cubs drafted Jacquez in the fourthround. He spent  four years in the Cubs system, pitching forLodi, San Antonio, the Arizona and Arizona Cubs. He posted a 2.13ERA in 1969 in Double-A San Antonio and was named to the TexasLeague All-Star Team in 1970.

In the offseason after 1970, he was traded to the ChicagoWhite Sox and in 1971, Jacquez got the call to "The Show." He madehis Major League debut on April 18, tossing 1.2 innings against theOakland A's, and added an appearance in Fenway Park against the RedSox.

In the offseason, Jacquez was traded again, to theCincinnati Reds, who sent him to their farm team in Indianapolis,where he was named an All-Star in the American Association in 1972.Following an off-season trade to the St. Louis Cardinals, Jacquezretired after the season.

He returned to Stockton, where he has worked for 36 yearsfor Redarchs Management. Pat and his wife of 44 years, Patty,raised their children Suzann and Thomas. Following in theirfather's footsteps, Suzann played softball at California, and wasthe shortstop on the Golden Bears' 1992 College World Series squad.The Academic All-American graduated from Cal and earned a Master'sDegree from New York University.

Thomas pitched at UCLA from 1995-97, was named to the 1997All Pacific-10 First Team, and pitched in the 1997 College WorldSeries. After his junior year, Thomas was drafted in the sixthround by the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent four seasons in thePhillies farm system, before making his Major League debut in 2000.He appeared in nine games and earned a save against the FloridaMarlins. Following four more seasons in the Phillies, White Sox andBaltimore Orioles organization, Thomas retired from professionalbaseball and finished his undergraduate degree at the University ofSan Francisco, where he also earned a Master's degree.

In 2012, Pat served as the pitching coach for St. Mary'sHigh School, which won the 2012 CIF Sac-Joaquin SectionChampionship.
