Elliott Cribby

Elliott Cribby was named as an assistant coach with a focus on pitching and recruiting on September 19, 2022. Cribby came to Pacific after spending eight season's with the Washington Huskies.

In 2022 as the associate head coach with Washington, the Huskies finished fourth in the Pac-12 in pitching. With a 12-game win streak to finish the regular season for the Huskies, Cribby coached the pitching staff to a 2.00 ERA during the streak. Highlights from the season included a sweep of UCLA and USC. As the Associate Head Coach, Cribby was instrumental in bringing four top 25 recruiting classes to Washington. Cribby recruited and coached 45 MLB Draft Picks over the last eight years and four freshman All-Americans. In his first season with Washington, Cribby coaches Stevie Emanuel, who was drafted in the fifth round of the MLB draft while the Huskies were third in the Pac-12 in pitching.

Before Washington, Cribby made stops at Purdue, Seattle University and Abilene Christian. Cribby helped Purdue reach some historical standards in his lone season with the Boilermakers. The pitching staff set strikeouts records for most in a season (477), most in a game (18 vs. Indiana) and strikeouts per nine innings (9.10).

Several individuals had standout seasons under Cribby's tutelage. Bo Hofstra has become one of the more dominant relievers in the Big 10. The All-Big 10 third team member was 2-2 with a 1.62 ERA and recorded seven saves. Trent Johnson set a school record for strikeouts per nine innings with 10.89.

Cribby has a long history of success in recruiting and developing young pitchers. Three of four Seattle U players drafted in 2018 were pitchers, headlined by Tarik Skubal being selected in the ninth round. Another of his signees in 2018 was drafted in the 11th round. Cribby also mentored left-hander Nick Meservey to WAC Pitcher of the Year honors in 2016.

He helped build Seattle U rosters that featured multiple draft picks in 2018, 2017 and 2015, highlighted by Jake Prizina from Reno, Nevada and is in the Baltimore Orioles organization. During his five years, the Redhawks had 18 players or recruits selected in the MLB Draft. Additionally, the players he recruited were Freshman All-Americans from 2015-17. While with the Redhawks, fellow coaches voted Cribby the best recruiter in the WAC in a D1Baseball.com poll.

"To say that we are excited for Elliott Cribby to join the Tiger Family is an understatement," said Head Coach Chris Rodriguez. "As a coach, one of my main goals is to surround myself with the best coaching possible. I believe we found that in Elliott Cribby, his track record at Mid Majors and Power 5 schools in recruiting and developing young pitchers is as solid as they come. This is an exciting time for the Pacific Tigers baseball program."
