Chris McCormack

Chris McCormack returns for hisfourth year with the Tigers in 2012, and his second as Director ofBaseball Operations. McCormack spent the previous two seasons as avolunteer assistant.

In 2008, McCormack worked atSacramento State University under current Pacific coaches DonBarbara and Mike McCormick, where he served as the director ofbaseball operations.There, McCormack worked with catchers, hittersand base runners on the field, while he maintained the recruitingdatabase and assisted with travel organization in theoffice.Concurrently he worked under Pacific's assistant coach DonBarbara for the Don Barbara Hornet Baseball Camps, where he wasresponsible for the staff, schedules, the campers and drills.

From 2006 to 2007 he served as theassistant baseball coach for Ferndale High School in Washington,where he again oversaw catchers, hitters and first basemen. Underhis guidance, the program reached the Washington state playoffs forthe first time in school history.

The year before that, in 2005, hewas the assistant coach for the Bellingham Bells organization inBellingham, Wash. There he began developing his recruiting skillsand coached first basemen, hitters and catchers.

McCormack attended Sacramento Stateand played as a catcher in 2002 and then transferred to WesternWashington University in Bellingham, Wash., to obtain hisbachelor's degree in communication in 2005. He went on to worktowards a master's in adult education from Jones InternationalUniversity in Centennial, Colo.

In between universities, Chrisattended Bellevue Community College for one year, where hisbaseball team was an NWAACC tournament participant for its23rd-straight season.

McCormack and his wife Vicki Skywere married in 2011.
