Andrew Urbistondo

Andrew Urbistando joined the Pacific baseball staff in August 2023 as an assistant coach. 

Urbistondo is also a Stockton native where he starred at A. A. Stagg High as a four-year varsity player, earning TCAL honors in three of the four seasons.
 
He played two seasons at San Joaquin Delta College under head coach Reed Peters where he was a two-year starter at shortstop and second base. In his final season with the Mustangs, he fielded .991, while helping Delta to a state runner-up season in 2014.
 
He finished his career at Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn., starting a shortstop and earning the ACC Gold Glove honors. In 2015, he helped the Lions to a 44-18 record and a berth in the NAIA regional tournament. In 2016, he hit .350 as the starting shortstop, helping Bryan to a 38-18 season.
 
Urbistondo has served in a variety of coaching roles including graduate assistant coach at Bryan, the head coach at Stagg High, a coach for NorCal Baseball, an assistant for the Weyburn Beavers in the Western Canadian Baseball League and head coach for the Rochester (Minn.) Honkers, a summer team that competes in the Northwoods League. Since 2018, he has been on the staff at Delta, where he helped guide the Mustangs to a 39-7 record, a California Community College Athletic Association Section Championship and a berth in the four-team state championship event in 2019. For the Mustangs, Urbistondo coached third, the infield and hitting, as a Rapsodo Hitting Certified instructor.
 
Urbistondo earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and health sciences and a MBA with an emphasis in sport management.
